Dezan Shira & Associates Shares Vietnam Investment Insights at ASEAN Business Delegation Roundtable

Vietnam, January 17 — Dezan Shira & Associates participated in a themed roundtable discussion in Vietnam with representatives from Techcombank and IDICO Industrial Park, as part of the ASEAN business study tour organized by the The General Association of Zhejiang Entrepreneurs – Young Entrepreneur Committee (GAZE YEC).

At the session, Ms. Vivie Wei, Country Director of Dezan Shira & Associates Vietnam, delivered a keynote briefing on Vietnam’s investment environment and practical market entry considerations for Chinese enterprises expanding into Southeast Asia.

Vivie highlighted that Dezan Shira & Associates has been providing cross-border investment advisory services across Asia for decades, entering the Vietnam market in 2008 and establishing a presence across multiple ASEAN jurisdictions.

Drawing on recent data, Vivie analyzed Vietnam’s macroeconomic and industrial landscape. Vietnam recorded GDP growth of 8.02 percent in 2025, with exports maintaining double-digit growth and manufacturing remaining a key driver, particularly in electronics, machinery, and textiles. Foreign direct investment continues to concentrate in these sectors, with Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Binh Duong among the most active destinations.

She further emphasized Vietnam’s extensive network of more than 17 free trade agreements as a major advantage for export-oriented manufacturers, while cautioning that rules of origin have become more stringent in recent years, typically requiring 30–40 percent local value addition to qualify for tariff preferences. On the labor front, Vietnam benefits from a sizeable workforce and an improving skills base, supported by growing government and private sector investment in vocational training and workforce development.

The discussion also featured brief contributions from IDICO Industrial Park, which outlined the role of industrial zones in facilitating faster project implementation through ready infrastructure and administrative support, and Techcombank, which shared an overview of its digital banking capabilities and financial services tailored to foreign-invested enterprises operating in Vietnam.

The roundtable addressed key topics of concern to investors, including market access, site selection, project implementation, and cross-border financial operations. The exchange provided participating entrepreneurs with a clearer, more structured understanding of Vietnam’s business environment, associated opportunities, and compliance considerations, supporting more informed decision-making for future ASEAN expansion.

IDICO工业园投资顾问黎大福在分享中首先分析了越南在全球供应链重构中的定位与优势。他指出，在供应链多元化趋势下，越南凭借广泛的自由贸易协定网络、优越的地理区位及具有竞争力的运营成本，正成为中资企业布局东盟的重要选择。其政治环境稳定、政策持续开放，2020年《投资法》修订后进一步简化流程、强化投资者保护，为制造业等领域的外商投资提供了制度保障。黎大福进一步阐述了工业区在帮助企业快速、安全落地中的关键作用。工业园区不仅提供成熟的基础设施与稳定的能源供应，更能协助企业完成投资许可、环境评估、劳动手续等一系列行政流程，显著缩短投产周期。IDICO作为越南本土领先的工业区开发运营方，已在南北部重点经济区布局多个项目，为包括本田、百事等在内的多家投资者提供落地支持，助力企业高效融入本地产业链与贸易体系。 

Techcombank客户关系管理总监陆荣璘在分享中介绍了Techcombank的基本情况与服务优势。作为越南领先的私人银行之一，该行注重科技投入，其银企直连系统可与企业ERP及海关、税务平台对接，支持线上化操作与多级资金授权管理，为跨境企业提供高效的资金结算与账务处理服务。银行还可为投资申请阶段的企业出具融资意向函，并在运营阶段提供多项等配套支持。陆荣璘还结合多年在越经验，分享了对于当地营商环境的观察。越南当前正推动行政改革与基础设施升级，整体商业效率持续提升。企业需关注汇率波动对运营的影响，并善用本地金融工具进行风险管理。此外，越南内需市场增长显著，消费动能强劲，为面向本地销售的企业提供了潜在机遇。他建议投资者在进入市场前，充分了解土地权属、融资条件与外汇管理等合规要求，并借助专业机构实现稳妥落地。
