From September 7 to 15 Patricia Aranguren Moliner, Assistant Manager within the International Business Advisory team at Dezan Shira & Associates’ Europe and Spanish Desks, completed a business development visit to Latin America, with meetings and engagements in Chile and Argentina.
Patricia’s first stop was Santiago, where the agenda brought together representatives from Indonesia, Malaysia, Chilean public institutions, and local partners. Meetings included the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Chile, MATRADE Santiago, the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center, the Chilean-Australian Chamber of Commerce, ProChile, and longstanding partner Fundación Chilena del Pacífico, as well as fellow professional services firms active in the region.
The visit then continued in Buenos Aires, where Patricia attended one of the main engagements of the trip: the annual conference of the Mobile Workforce Collaborative (MWC). The event brought together international mobility, advisory, and business stakeholders from across Latin America and beyond, offering a valuable setting to exchange perspectives within the global collaborative, where Patricia serves as APAC Regional Lead.
While in Buenos Aires, Patricia also held meetings with the Cámara China Argentina, representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Argentina, and fellow professional services firms, continuing discussions around Asia–Latin America business relations and potential areas of cooperation.
Looking back on the visit, Patricia highlighted: “The trip reinforced the importance of building direct relationships with partners on the ground. For Latin American companies exploring Asia, practical guidance, local knowledge, and trusted networks are essential to move from interest to execution.”
