Alberto Vettoretti, Managing Partner of Dezan Shira & Associates, was invited as a panelist to the 2025 Indonesia–China South China (Shenzhen) Business Forum held on November 19, 2025.

Jointly organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Guangzhou, the Association of Guangdong–Indonesia for the Promotion of Trade (PPIG), the Indonesian Industrial Estate Association, and Bank Mandiri Shanghai Branch, the forum brought together representatives from government agencies, financial and investment institutions, industrial park operators, and leading enterprises across South China. Under the theme “From Guangdong to Indonesia: Building Strategic Partnerships Towards Energy Resilience,” the event explored emerging opportunities within Indonesia’s rapidly evolving energy sector.

As a panelist, Alberto joined industry leaders and policy experts to discuss “Why Invest in Indonesia’s Energy Sector: Challenges and Opportunities.” Reflecting on Indonesia’s rapid reform trajectory, he noted: “I spend most of my time between South China, Vietnam and Indonesia and I must say I have rarely seen a country that, in such a short period, has done so much to open itself to foreign investment. In the past five years, following the implementation of its Omnibus Law, Indonesia has made remarkable strides to digitalize its economy and simplify registration processes for foreign investors.”
Building on this perspective, Alberto highlighted Indonesia’s accelerating transition toward renewable energy – supported by coherent policy reforms, rising demand across the region, and increasingly attractive fiscal incentives.
Dezan Shira & Associates has enjoyed a longstanding relationship with the Indonesian Government and the Consulate General in Guangzhou in particular, supporting their initiatives over the years to strengthen bilateral business exchanges.
