Ascentium Malaysia was pleased to participate in a business exchange session organized by Zhongguancun Science City in Kuala Lumpur, welcoming a delegation of Chinese business leaders from the technology, artificial intelligence (AI), healthcare, and data analytics sectors.

The session, themed “Practical Insights into Market Entry and Business Operations in Malaysia,” discussed not only how Chinese companies can enter the Malaysian market, but also how they can establish compliant, resilient, and sustainable operations for long-term growth.

Representing Ascentium Malaysia, Quinn Lu, Senior Manager of International Business Advisory, shared practical guidance on the key considerations for establishing a presence in Malaysia. The discussion covered different investment and operating structures, including representative offices, branches, and private limited companies, as well as company incorporation, industry-specific licensing requirements, investment pathways, and Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) filing and compliance considerations for Chinese investors.

We thank Zhongguancun Science City International Cooperation Department for organizing the exchange and for bringing together an engaged group of business leaders. Ascentium remains committed to supporting Chinese businesses throughout their expansion journey in Malaysia and across ASEAN, providing integrated support across market entry, corporate establishment, accounting and tax, HR and payroll, compliance, and broader business advisory needs.
