Which enterprises need to obtain a Production License in China?
Enterprises must obtain a product license for the manufacture, sale or commercial use of certain industrial products in China. According to the administrative regulations on production licensing of industrial products promulgated by China’s State Council in July 2005, a production license is required for enterprises manufacturing the following categories of products:
1. Processed foods that have a direct bearing on human health;
2. Products that may cause risk to the safety of people’s lives and property;
3. Products that have a bearing on financial safety and communications quality safety;
4. Products for occupational safety;
5. Products that may affect safety in production and public safety;
6. Other products as required by law and administrative regulations.
