Castelldefels – Dezan Shira & Associates took part in ETL GLOBAL’s first International Workings Group Meeting, held on October 8–9 in the coastal city of Castelldefels, near Barcelona, bringing together professionals from across the network to strengthen international collaboration.
This year’s event brought together 165 professionals from 27 countries across the network to exchange knowledge and strengthen international collaboration through its specialized Working Groups.
The sessions focused on key areas, including VAT and Transfer Pricing, Tax, Law and Audit on October 8 – alongside an internal Marketing Meeting held the same day – followed by M&A, ESG and Global Mobility, as well as Innovation, Payroll and Real Estate on October 9.
These exchanges encouraged interesting technical discussions among professionals, fostering the exchange of insights, practical experience, and strategies for serving international clients more effectively.
The team from Dezan Shira & Associates contributed its Asia-Pacific market expertise, offering a distinctive perspective on cross-border investment, regulatory frameworks, and regional growth opportunities. Riccardo Benussi, Partner at Dezan Shira & Associates and Member of ETL GLOBAL’s International Board, led the Innovation Working Group and participated in several other Working Groups.
Reflecting on this first Working Groups meeting, Riccardo commented: “This new format is built upon the collaboration of past annual conferences while offering a more focused space for meaningful discussions and exchange. It was also a great opportunity to connect in person and strengthen relationships across the network.”
Patricia Aranguren, Assistant Manager at Dezan Shira & Associates, was part of the VAT, Legal and Global Mobility Working Groups. Sharing her impressions, she reflected on the strength of the network and the meaningful conversations among participants from so many different countries. The event concluded with participants looking ahead to next year’s Annual Conference with enthusiasm.
