Managing Partner Alberto Vettoretti Travels to Vietnam and Meets with Clients, Partners, and the Dezan Shira Team

Dezan Shira & Associates’ Managing Partner, Alberto Vettoretti, was in Vietnam this month to meet with clients, partners, and our teams from Ho Chi Minh City, Danang and Hanoi. This long-awaited visit marked the first in three years for Alberto since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic and provided the opportunity for him to meet face-to-face with key stakeholders for the firm in the region.

During his visit, Alberto met with several partners including industrial parks developer KCN, the Italian Trade Agency, Advantage Austria and the Ambassador of Italy in Vietnam.

Alberto summarizes his impressions: “It was good to meet some of our clients in Vietnam to learn about their expansion plans in the country and the region in general; Vietnam’s first half of 2022 saw a positive economic rebound with the country’s GDP growing 7.72 percent with solid exports and consumer spending. “In Vietnam, we are expanding its headcounts, service lines as well as office presence to support a larger and more sophisticated pool of FDIs investing into the country.”

This trip also provided a great opportunity for the Dezan Shira Vietnam team to reconnect with Alberto or meet him for the first time face-to-face after several years of virtual interactions.

“Such a thrill to meet for the first time so many new colleagues and reconnect with those who have helped us to hold the fort and kept growing our operations in Vietnam in spite of the numerous challenges over the past couple of years. We are looking at adding more resources in the country this year and are planning a new office (our 4^th) in 2023. This is a testimony of our commitment to Vietnam and its economic developments in the years ahead”.
