Corporate Accounting Services Assistant Manager-HAN

Job Description

Principal Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Delegate daily accounting works and full accounting, financial works to the CAS team and ensure the provision of timely, detailed, and high-quality corporate accounting and tax services, including period financial statements, monthly payroll, and insurance, to the Foreign Invested Enterprises (FIEs) that are DSA clients.
• Ensure compliance with the applicable Vietnamese laws, regulations, codes, and rules of accounting under VAS as well as local practices.
• Ensure compliance with the applicable Vietnamese laws, regulations, codes, and rules of Tax as well as local practices.
• Coordinate with clients to understand their business, then identify their changing requirements and expectations of our CAS. Work with colleagues from other teams to provide solutions and continuously enhance our firm’s service provision.
• Analyze the monthly client accounting data, identify any exceptional situations, and provide supplemental explanations for the easy understanding of clients.
• Implement and provide digital solutions for data collection, bookkeeping and tax filing, and monthly client delivery, in cooperation with DSA’s group-wide accounting managers.
• Be proactively involved in the conversion and onboarding of new clients, professionally presenting our services and guiding new clients in the ever-challenging requirements prescribed by Vietnam’s accounting and tax regulations.
• Grow, train by participating in the internal training, and manage a team in Hanoi to support processing and remote accounting work.
• Prepare, review, and improve CAS deliverables, such as checklists, questionnaires, memos, team presentations, and others.
• Communicate with various government authorities and other related organizations, including the tax authority, public finance office, banks, and CPA firms.
• Travel when necessary to other offices around Vietnam.
• Participate in various ad-hoc projects for clients.
• Perform financial due diligence engagements.
• Work with DSA IT Services team and other CAS managers to innovate and coordinate effective data transfer between DSA and client systems.
• Follow up with clients for outstanding receivables in an efficient manner.
• Deliver presentations on selected topics both internally and externally; and
• Prepare articles on Tax and Accounting topics.
• Report to the Manager.

Job Requirements

Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication ability in Vietnamese and English.
• Good customer service attitude and skills.
• Excellent understanding of VAS, Vietnam tax law, and IFRS.
• Be capable of independently preparing accounting vouchers, ledgers, and financial statements in English in a timely, accurate and efficient manner for multiple clients (FIEs, joint ventures, etc.).
• Be capable of providing reliable information relating to accounting and tax compliance and reporting package upon clients’ request.
• Be flexible enough to adapt to working under tight deadlines.
• Reliable and accurate, with effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a good team player; and
• Experience in ERP, with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor/above degree, major in accounting or taxation; and
• CPA certification is a plus.

Experience:

• At least 8 years of full-time related working experience (in foreign-invested enterprises is a plus);
• Experience in implementation of ERP and/or SaaS products and systems in the county;
• Direct experience with implementation of Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or Oracle ERP products is a plus;
• Experience in international contexts required;
• Experience in serving international clients is a plus; and
• Experience in working in the accounting services industry is a plus.
