Assistant Manager, Business Intelligence (China)

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Management:

  • Research, analyze and produce client reports to assist on market research, market entry strategy, business matchmaking and location analysis, and site selection.
  • Cooperate with sales and legal/accounting departments to consult potential clients on Chinese market entry and DSA services.
  • Communicate with clients on project delivery.
  • Act as project leader for China-based BI projects.

Department Development:

  • Expand core BI services with DSA colleagues in China, India and ASEAN.
  • Develop a narrative for BI services in China and coordinate with marketing to clarify this.
  • Maintain existing vendor relationships and build out a partnership network.
  • Meet independently or as a team with existing or potential clients to introduce DSA’s services, to discuss client needs, and to advise on potential BI strategies.
  • Serve as a representative of Dezan Shira Associate at business and community events.
  • Hire and mentor junior staff members and interns.

Job Requirements

Skills:

  • Excellent research and analysis abilities.
  • Excellent spoken and written English and Chinese, additional European language skills a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate across departments.
  • Team player; able to work effectively in a multicultural team and with western and local business leaders.
  • Professional business demeanor and attitude.
  • High level of initiative and follow through.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor degree or higher; preferably in Business/Economics/International Studies.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of professional work experience.
  • Previous client/account management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Chinese economy and trade topics, and foreign direct investment issues preferred.

Working Relations:

Maintain good relations across departments.Effectively communicate with both internal and external clients.Opportunity to travel domestically/internationally for business visits.Based in Shanghai/Beijing, deliver projects to completion across China.
