Dezan Shira & Associates Shenzhen Relocates and Welcomes Partners and Clients to its Larger and Upgraded New Office

Dezan Shira’s Shenzhen team moved to a new office in the city’s central Futian district. Growing together with China’s fastest-developing city, we look forward to better serving our expanding client base in the Greater Bay Area and beyond.

With our business rapidly growing in China’s Greater Bay Area (GBA), we are pleased to announce the relocation of our Shenzhen office to a location in the city’s central business district of Futian, with expanded and upgraded facilities. Our new location, in what is known as China’s future “Manhattan + Silicon Valley”, allows us to better serve our expanding client and partner base with its convenient access to transportation and larger modern meeting spaces.

As home to Dezan Shira & Associates’ first office nearly 30 years ago, Shenzhen has a special place in our history. Yet it is Shenzhen’s burgeoning attractiveness for foreign direct investment (FDI) and our robust clientele in the region that drives our need to expand in the city. With more than 35 offices across Asia today, we have witnessed Shenzhen emerge as one of the most FDI friendly cities in China, the leading urban center of China’s ambitious GBA initiative and one of the largest financial centers in the world. As we continue to grow, and even during the pandemic, the city has shown an extraordinary feat of economic resilience.

Cathy Gong, Partner of Dezan Shira located in Shenzhen, noted,

“The Chinese Government is set on developing Shenzhen into China’s leading international showcase as the world capital of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Dezan Shira operates five offices in the GBA – with a multidisciplinary team in Shenzhen – ready to provide business advisory, tax and accounting, HR and payroll, technology, and more services to facilitate investments in the region.”

Office Warming Welcome

The office opening was recently celebrated with an office warming party. We welcomed friends from chambers, clients and partners to see the new location, discuss further cooperation and support for businesses in Shenzhen, and reminisce on 30 years of operating in the city.

Amongst the guests, Ms. Francine Hadjisotiriou, General Manager of the European Chamber South China Chapter also shared her story of the chamber’s strong association with the firm.

“After I first came to China, a general manager of a company recommended Dezan Shira to me and told me it provides useful and practical information for foreign companies. I started to engage with Dezan Shira when I established the European Chamber in South China in 2006, and both sides saw lots of synergies possible. Step by step, I saw the company growing, developing more and more services, and keep adapting the services to its customers. What you have achieved in the 30 years is fantastic and truly helped many SMEs in need. I would like to wish you a great success for the years to come!”
