Our collection of resources based on what we have learned on the ground
With the opening of most countries following the Covid-19 pandemic, business activities in the Asia-Pacific region are back on track. Around the occurrence of the Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business in Singapore in November, we had the opportunity to talk to Mrs. Almut Rößner, Executive board member of the German Asia Pacific Business Association (OAV) in Hamburg about the current mood of German companies in Asia.
As Executive Member of the Board for the OAV and with 15 years of experience in Asia (including as Executive Director of the European Chamber of Commerce Vietnam), Roessner is an active and sought-after expert on the German Economy and its ties with APAC/Greater China.
With our German Desk, consisting of senior experts located in Munich, Singapore, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Ho Chi Minh City, we are supporting especially SMEs from Germany and other German-speaking countries with their operations in the region. Dezan Shira & Associates is member of the OAV since 2022 to intensify the ties of our firm with clients from Germany, so we are grateful for these valuable insights by Almut Roessner.
Julia Goeb, Member of our German Desk and Marketing Lead Vietnam asked her four questions about the situation of German SMEs in particular.
