Jennifer Halim discussed Indonesia’s potential as an Investment Destination at the Chile Pacific Foundation Webinar

On August 22, 2023, Jennifer Halim, International Business Advisory Manager at the Dezan Shira & Associates Jakarta Office, was invited to speak at a webinar hosted by the Chile Pacific Foundation titled, an “In-Depth Look at Trade and Investment Potential Between Chile and Indonesia”.

Participating as a speaker among distinguished peers including H.E. Mr. Muhammad Ansor, the Indonesian Ambassador to Chile, Mr. Eduardo Alfredo Juan Bernardo Frei Ruiz-Tagle, the former President of Chile, and Mr. Christian Fresard, Senior Advisor at the Asia-Oceania Division of the Undersecretariat of International Economic Relations Chile, Jennifer delivered a presentation on what makes Indonesia a prime hub for foreign direct investment and how Chilean companies can leverage the opportunities in the country

“The Government of Indonesia has been progressively facilitating the ease of doing business in the country by passing Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2 Year 2022, an amendment of the Omnibus Law in 2020. The regulation implements reforms that remove bureaucratic inefficiencies, simplify business licensing requirements, and liberalizing more industries for foreign investors, said Jennifer.

The projected economic growth and improved facilities for investors have made it an exciting time to invest in Indonesia. With a carefully crafted market entry strategy and a reliable partner to provide guidance on maneuvering Indonesia’s business climate, the archipelago provides ample opportunities for foreign businesses to thrive.
