Ines Liu Speaks at MedTech Industry Webinar Organized by the Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC) and Medvia

On June 8, Dezan Shira & Associates was invited to share insights and views based on their experiences working with Belgian MedTech organizations planning their entry into China or expanding their China business presence.   Ines Liu, Senior Manager of International Business Advisory at our Beijing office, provided valuable insights on investing in China’s healthcare sector during a webinar titled “MedTech Opportunities in China.” The webinar was organized by The Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce and MEDVIA.

Esteemed co-speakers including Johan Lecocq, International Relations Manager of MEDVIA, Johan Fornier, Vice President of Barco, Herman Raats, Founder & CEO of Shanghai Yumou Industrial Development Company, and Gwenn Sonck, Executive Director of Flanders-China Chamber of Commerce (FCCC), shared their valuable expertise and offered advice on the best approach to the China market.

After the webinar, Ines expressed, “It is a great pleasure to join this distinguished group and share my thoughts with its valuable audience. Healthcare in China is experiencing unprecedented growth before 2030, driven by the efficiency and cost-effectiveness in delivering healthcare services. The high expectations for this market stem from various factors, such as the increasing demand for innovative MedTech solutions, a shift towards preventative healthcare expenditure, and substantial monetary support from the Chinese government in the healthcare and technology sectors. This is an opportune time for foreign MedTech organizations with a well-thought-out and customized strategy or model to enter this expanding market, preferably with a reliable partner who can provide local expertise and resources to secure foreign direct investment.”
