Managing Partner Alberto Vettoretti and Director for Europe Riccardo Benussi Attend the Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) Global European Conference in Rome, Italy

Dezan Shira & Associates’ Managing Partner, Alberto Vettoretti, and Director for Europe, Riccardo Benussi, recently participated in the Leading Edge Alliance (LEA) Global European Conference held in Rome, Italy on April 27-28th. 

LEA Global is a global tax and accounting association, boasting a membership of over 220 professional firms, comprising 2,300 partners and approximately 25,000 staff members. 

The next Europe Regional conference is scheduled to take place on April 18-20, 2024, in Prague, Czech Republic. 

During the three-day conference, attendees were treated to enriching keynote presentations, interactive workshops and breakout sessions, informative guest speaker sessions, and enjoyable social activities. This year’s edition saw the participation of nearly 150 delegates representing 26 countries.

Alberto Vettoretti, who also serves as a LEA Global Board Member, shared his insights on the conference, stating: “It was great to reconnect with so many friends and business partners in person and discuss about the ever-changing challenges affecting CPA and professional firms around the world. Despite the global headwinds, most firms are doing well with some showing strong growth stemming from disrupting, AI driven business services.”

Riccardo Benussi, who has been actively involved in the conference’s Information Technology & Innovation working group since 2022, added: “Even with a legal background and coming from the trenches of client-facing world, there’s so much to learn and share in the innovation and IT SIG.  Am very happy I opted in on its inception at the Athens meeting.  From how we digitally interact with clients to cloud migration, from electronic documents management to IT security vis-a-vis dark web piracy, from data analytics tools to the opportunities and perils of AI, we keep adding shared experiences, concerns, tools and solutions to our common scenarios, to meet with our primary goal: a happy and loyal client.”
