China Issues Catalogue of Key Environment Protection Technology and Equipment the Development of Which Is Encouraged by the State (2011 Version)

On January 31, 2011, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Science and Technology jointly promulgated the Catalogue of Key Environment Protection Technology and Equipment the Development of Which Is Encouraged by the State (2011 Version).

The Catalogue is divided into technologies and equipment to be developed and those to be promoted and applied.  The categories covered by the Catalogue includes air pollution prevention and treatment, water pollution and treatment, solid waste disposal, specialized instrument and apparatus for environment monitoring, noise and vibration control, electromagnetic wave and radioactive (including three nuclear wastes) pollution and treatment, and emergency handling of environmental pollution.
