Vietnam’s Amended Investment Law: What Has Changed and Why It Matters [AmCham Hanoi Morning Brief]

We are pleased to announce that Dan Martin, Vietnam Co-Head of Business Intelligence at Dezan Shira & Associates and AmCham Hanoi Board Governor, together with Jack Nguyen, CEO of InCorp Vietnam, will present at the inaugural AmCham Morning Brief. They will share expert insights on Vietnam’s amended Investment Law, outlining key changes and their implications for U.S. foreign investors.

The National Assembly approved a new Investment Law, marking a major overhaul of the country’s investment regime. The new Law, which takes effect next month, replaces the 2020 Investment Law and introduces some significant reforms aimed at streamlining investment procedures, recalibrating investment incentives, and aligning investment policy with Vietnam’s strategic economic priorities. Join our Morning Brief on March 4 featuring AmCham Board Governor Dan Martin from Dezan Shira & Associates and Jack Nguyen, CEO of InCorp Vietnam for a look at the new Law, what has changed, and why it matters for investors.

AGENDA

– Overview of why VN has amended the Investment Law again and what issues the changes are intended to address.
– Why these updates matter now for foreign investors entering or expanding in VN.

–
Which investors and projects qualify for incentives under the current framework and the types of projects Vietnam is prioritizing.
