ACBC China: Delegation Green Economy Opportunities for Australia

Delegation Roundtable and Dinner | April 23-28, 2023, Beijing

The Australia China Business Council (ACBC) has organized a high-level business delegation to China from April 23-28, 2023. Senior executives of leading Australian corporations will represent sectors including mining, banking, legal services and telecommunications. The visit is the latest sign of a thaw in diplomatic relations between Beijing and Canberra. The visit will focus on potential green energy cooperation between Chinese and Australian companies. "Green" projects are not as politically sensitive as other areas of investment, and cooperation with China on climate change has been one of the priorities for countries and companies seeking to re-engage with Beijing.

On April 26, the Delegates will gather for an Industry Briefing session, where Ines Liu, Senior Manager of International Business Advisory at Dezan Shira & Associates' Beijing Office, has been invited to share her insights on Investing in China's Green and Low Carbon Sector, including a Q&A discussion afterwards.

On April 27, Ines will also attend the Dinner hosted by AustCham at Beijing's China World Summit Wing hotel. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from locally based speakers including country heads of multinationals as well as experts from the academia. They will share their knowledge on investment opportunities and the policy environment in the era of the green transition.

The evening will start with a networking cocktail session. A four-course Western meal will be served along with premium wines.

To register for the dinner and meet Ines there, please register at AustCham's event portal here.
