Which products are exempted from China Compulsory Certification (CCC)?

Posted On June 2014

Certain imported products listed in the CCC catalog are exempt from CCC certification. There are two categories of exempted items:

  • Automatically exempt items, which include those brought into China for personal use and items considered gifts between governments.
  • Items that require application with and testing by the local entry-exit inspection and quarantine authority, which concerns items used for research, testing and the maintenance of other equipment; exhibition items; and components imported for the purpose of exporting completed machinery. For these items, the relevant manufacturer, importer, seller or its agent should apply for a CCC Exemption Certification by submitting relevant materials and undergoing product testing if necessary.
