What are the social insurance contribution percentages in China?

Posted On April 2016

It is hard to point at specific social insurance contribution percentages in China as these percentages differ between cities, and sometimes even on a district level. A good example of this is the housing fund which in some cities is considered tax free, yet only if the salary of an employee is more than 500 percent of the local average annual salary. In other cities the percentages may differ, or the fund might not be considered tax free at all.
