In the webinar hosted on September 24 2019, Melisa, Dezan Shira's Senior Associate of internation business advisory at our Jakarta office, discussed business establishment in Indonesia and opportunities for foreign investors. 

As the largest market in Southeast Asia with the fifth highest per capita income, Indonesia offers many possibilities to investors interested in expanding into ASEAN.

The government is making a concerted effort to make the country a more business friendly destination, and its improvement from 120^th to 73^rd position on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ranking is a testament to their success.

Despite this, investing in the country can still present challenges, especially to those unfamiliar with its business environment.
