Recent Trends in Superpower Relations

On March 2nd, Kyle Freeman, Partner, will participate in a webinar hosted by the Finish Business Council about the business impacts of recent trends in Superpower relations.  Held together with Jarno Syrjala, Finland Ambassador to China, and Jens Eskelund, EUCCC Vice Chairman, this webinar aims to help investors better understand the future business climate between the EU, China, and the US.

Jarno Syjala will begin the webinar with several opening remarks and Jens Eskelund will follow with insights on EU-China relations.  During his presentation, Kyle will discuss how trade relations with China will change under the Biden administration.  He will give an overview of the Phase 1 Trade Agreement progress, highlight key updates of China related sanctions, and discuss key issues and outlooks for China trade policy under the new administration. A Q&A session at the end will give attendees an opportunity to ask the panel of experts their thoughts/opinions on pressing issues.

As a member of Dezan Shira’s North American Desk, Kyle works extensively assisting North American investors do business in Asia.  Kyle has also worked in government relations and China trade policy for various public and private organizations.  His work included assisting in high-level, US-China bilateral trade dialogues and organizing public-private cooperation programs to promote US and foreign-investment in China.  Join us as Kyle shares his insights on the changes in US-China relations and what it means for investors.
