This event is organized by the European Chamber of Commerce in China (South China Chapter). For any questions, please contact gz.ga@europeanchamber.com.cn.
As global economic conditions evolve and geopolitical uncertainty increases, European SMEs face both new opportunities and operational challenges when engaging with the Chinese market. Among all regions in China, the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) stands out as one of the country’s most dynamic, open, and innovation-driven economic zones.
With world-class manufacturing clusters, a robust supply chain ecosystem, booming digital and green industries, and improving cross-border facilitation policies, the GBA is becoming a strategic choice for many EU SMEs—whether they are already operating in China or still evaluating entry opportunities from Europe.
However, EU SMEs often encounter practical questions such as:
- How to assess market demand for their products and services in the GBA?
- What are the updated requirements for company setup and daily operations?
- How to decide which GBA city fits their business model?
- What compliance, tax, HR, and operational risks should be anticipated?
To address these key concerns, the EU SME Centre and the European Chamber South China Chapter will jointly host this targeted briefing. The event integrates expert presentations, market insights, and a panel discussion to help EU SMEs gain a clear understanding of the GBA’s business environment and operational landscape.
The session is designed for:
- EU SMEs already operating in China (expansion, optimisation, compliance support)
- EUSMEs in Europe assessing the potential to enter the Chinese market (market entry and risk evaluation)
This free event will be held in English. It is open to all interested SMEs from EU Member States and countries participating in the Single Market Programme.
