Crash Course on Doing Business in Beijing: New Opportunities for Foreign Investors in 2021
Webinar | Tuesday, May 25, 2021 | 4:00 PM China / 3:00 PM Vietnam / 10:00 AM CET
Watch on demandAs a key economic hub in China’s Northern region, Beijing plays a critical role in spearheading market reform and easier access for investors. Beijing is currently in the process of building 'two zones' - the National Comprehensive Demonstration Zone and the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone, both of which will bring investors more opportunities in key industries, such as the service sector.
China’s services sector will become an economic focus for the country as announced in China’s recent 14th Five-year Plan (2021-2025). The Five-year Plan, which guides China’s overall development direction for the next 5 years, announced further opening up of the country’s services sector to investors.
As China’s service hub, Beijing has already been opening up this sector for many years now. In 2017, the local government launched financial incentives to encourage high-value added services exports, and in 2020 new measures were released in key service industries to enable easier market access and develop a friendlier business environment for foreign investors.
In this webinar, Ines Liu, International Business Advisory Manager, will highlight what makes Beijing a favorable destination for foreign investors, with special focus on the services sector, and introduce the 'two zones' in Beijing:
- Beijing’s National Comprehensive Demonstration Zone
- Overall Business Environment
- Investment and Industrial Promotion
- Trade and Investment Liberalization
- Tax incentives and government preferential policies
- Beijing Free Trade Zones (FTZs)
