Bio

Silke Neugebohrn works as a Senior Associate in the International Business Advisory team at Dezan Shira & Associates Beijing office. Silke advises clients on incorporations, corporate structuring and restructuring, labor issues, and further legal and tax issues concerning their China investment. She has a focus on serving German clients and oversees the German language editions of the Asia Briefing and China Briefing magazines and corresponding online articles.

Prior to joining Dezan Shira & Associates in 2012, Silke worked for four years as in-house legal counsel for a publicly-owned company in Germany where she primarily dealt with contract law and regulatory compliance/ procurement issues before relocating to Beijing in 2010. As a portfolio manager in the company’s Beijing office she coordinated the office staff and was also involved in the post-merger integration after the company’s acquisition.

Silke is a qualified German lawyer. She studied law at the University of Adelaide, Australia, and Cologne University, Germany, where she also earned her master’s degree in business law (LL.M.oec).
