Cathy Gong is a Partner at Dezan Shira & Associates and is based in our Shenzhen office. Besides managing the work of Dezan Shira & Associates’ internal finance team on daily accounting, tax compliance, planning, financial reporting, business analysis, internal control and project management issues, Cathy has also led the implementation of Dezan Shira’s ERP system from the finance perspective. In parallel to that, she has been able to coordinate the automation and digitization of her team’s work. In recent years, Cathy has been playing the lead consultant role from the finance perspective on complex ERP implementation projects for clients of Dezan Shira across various platforms including SAP and MS D365.
Prior to joining Dezan Shira, Cathy worked as the head of finance for two famous multinational manufacturing companies for over 13 years. Cathy is experienced in accounting and costing for manufacturing companies, as well as structuring of internal control procedures.
Cathy graduated from Hunan University of Accounting, and is a Chinese Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She is also a member of IMA.
