How are importers helping Asian exporters improve production quality standards?

Q&A

Importers that are specialized in a product line are spearheading the growing trend for improving production quality standards because of the hands-on nature of their operations. Many Western companies have started to invest in improving their supply chain by implementing various programs categorized into three levels depending on the depth of the changes taken into effect—minimal, average, or heavy involvement. Minimal involvement consists of changes to the production line itself. Average involvement includes various operational or structural changes. Heavy involvement is mostly large-scale changes to the entire production process itself.
