Meet the New Manufacturing Giant: Vietnam

Vietnam is emerging as one of the manufacturing giants in Asia. With its strategic location, young population and low labor costs many multinational manufacturers including Samsung and Microsoft have been attracted to Vietnam. To learn more about opportunities in Vietnam, the FHKI co-organizes a seminar with Vietnam Singapore Industrial Parks (VSIP). The seminar is supported by the Consulate General of Vietnam in Hong Kong and Mackau, Hong Kong Business Association Vietnam and Dezan Shira & Associates. The plenary session will be conducted in English whilie concurrent sessions will be in different languages. Investors of all nationalities are welcome.

2pm – 5:30pm

Registration at 1:30pm and the conference starts at 14:00. After initial networking the first topic “Updates on Vietnam Facts and Figures 2015” will introduce the latest circumstances in Vietnam that affect Foreign Direct Investment. Following this is a 50-minute speech – “Keynote Address: PRC vs Vietnam for Manufacturing” providing a deeper understanding of manufacturing in Vietnam by comparing with the cost of manufacturing in South China, presented by Alberto Vettoretti. After a tea break, the final topic will be “Logistics Facilities for manufacturers in Vietnam”. Next, all the speakers will be present for a 15-minute Q&A session to answer questions.
