Diversifying China Production and Sourcing Into Southeast Asia and India

Seminar | Friday, June 16, 2023 | 11:30 AM - 2:00 PM CDT

This event is being hosted by the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago in person at the Carlucci Rosemont in Rosemont, IL.

Rising costs in China and recent geopolitical tensions are causing companies to increasingly look to move part of their sourcing and production operations outside of China.

Southeast Asia (SEA) and India are two of the fastest-growing regions in the world, many businesses are considering or have already relocated parts of their supply chains to SEA and India to lower costs and diversify. With cost advantages, including incentives for investment, and considerably less geopolitical risk than China, SEA and India are fast becoming an advantageous location to be in for manufacturing and non-manufacturing companies alike.

Kyle Freeman, Partner at Dezan Shira & Associates will benchmark risk, cost, and operational considerations for companies looking to move sourcing or production from China to SEA and/or India and discuss how companies can enter and expand in these markets.

Ticket prices for ITA/GC members and their guests - $50; Non-members - $75
