Shanghai, China | October 10, 2013
Dezan Shira & Associates is pleased to announce that Founding Partner, Chris Devonshire-Ellis, will present his insights into doing business in Asia with the German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai on October 10. His presentation will focus on trade and investment into the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN). A Free Trade Agreement between China and ASEAN will go into effect in 2015. Further adding to interest in the region, is the massive growth in GDP and consumer spending.
How can your business profit from these developments – especially if you are already active in China? Where are the new consumers within ASEAN to be found, and what are they buying? What are the competitive advantages and disadvantages of China and the ten ASEAN members? Which special incentives do those countries offer to foreign investors? What is the special role of Singapore as a financial hub?
Following a 26 year career in Asia and 20 years in China, Chris is now based in Singapore. He is responsible for the development of the practice in Singapore and India and advises clients on the changing opportunities available in the ASEAN region.
