Business Content Writer

Ascentium Vietnam is one of the country’s largest non-audit corporate services firms and part of Ascentium’s global platform spanning 27 markets. Through this international network, it delivers end-to-end advisory and business services in Vietnam, supported by regional and global expertise in cross-border investment and multi-country operations. 

Content writers are part of the firm’s Asia Briefing (AB) Editorial & Research team. They monitor investment and business developments and produce, edit, and publish intelligence for international investors operating or planning to invest in key Asia-Pacific markets. AB publishes business news, guides, research briefs, and magazines covering investment, legal, tax, HR and payroll, and operational matters across the region. 

We are currently recruiting a writer to research and produce content for our Vietnam-focused platforms, including Vietnam Briefing, a leading source of English-language business news and analysis. 

The role combines business-focused research and journalism with analysis of corporate law and tax policy. The successful candidate will produce business practical insights for foreign investors establishing or managing operations in Vietnam. 

We welcome candidates with relevant experience who can work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. The position will ideally be based in our Ho Chi Minh City office. Professional fluency in Vietnamese and English is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities 

Vietnam Briefing 

  • Report to the Asia Briefing Managing Editor and support the editorial strategy for Vietnam Briefing’s website, magazines, guides, and branded content. 
  • Plan, research, write, edit, and publish timely, accurate, and SEO-optimised content on Vietnam’s legal, tax, investment, and business environment. 
  • Work with subject-matter experts across tax, business advisory, accounting, HR and payroll, audit, and other practices to develop clear, practical business content. 
  • Support editorial campaigns and strategic initiatives aligned with the firm’s business development objectives. 
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams on newsletters, webinars, event materials, media partnerships, and other promotional content. 
  • Maintain editorial quality, brand consistency, and compliance with publishing standards. 
  • Monitor regulatory developments, market trends, search performance, and content analytics to identify opportunities and improve results. 

Ascentium Vietnam 

  • Produce and edit weekly thought leadership articles. 
  • Support the editorial calendar and content plan in collaboration with the Head of Marketing. 
  • Review social media posts, newsletters, and marketing materials for accuracy, relevance, and consistency. 
  • Develop and edit content for executive presentations. 

Key Performance Expectations 

  • Deliver at least five high-quality website articles per week. 
  • Develop and implement quarterly and weekly content plans. 
  • Produce accurate, timely, and SEO-friendly content that supports audience growth, thought leadership, and business development. 
  • Translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear, practical insights for international businesses. 
  • Maintain high standards of research, fact-checking, editing, and brand consistency. 
  • Work effectively with subject-matter experts, marketing teams, and regional stakeholders. 
  • Proactively identify emerging developments and turn them into relevant editorial content. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills 

  • Excellent English writing, reading, and comprehension skills. 
  • Strong research, analytical, and communication skills. 
  • Degree in journalism, communications, business, law, economics, political science, regional studies, or a related field; knowledge of taxation is an advantage. 
  • At least two years of experience in research, analysis, editorial content, or international business. 
  • Strong understanding of and interest in Vietnam’s economy, regulatory environment, key industries, and international business landscape. 
  • Ability to research complex issues and translate findings into clear, professional content. 
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. 
  • Interest in contributing to a leading business publication within a multinational organisation. 
  • Candidates currently based in Vietnam will be preferred.
