Dezan Shira & Associates is a pan-Asia, multi-disciplinary professional services firm, providing legal, tax and operational advisory to international corporate investors.
Operational throughout China, ASEAN and India, our mission is to guide foreign companies through Asia’s complex regulatory environment and assist them with all aspects of establishing, maintaining and growing their business operations in the region.
In addition to core legal, tax and operational services, Dezan Shira & Associates provide research and advise on a multi-jurisdictional business matters such as national regulations, infrastructure capabilities, operational costs and consumer market studies.
The firm also publishes business intelligence through its subsidiary Asia Briefing Ltd., which produces publications focused on Asia, ASEAN, China, India and Vietnam.
Main Responsibilities:
- Monitor business, economic and political news across Asian markets such as China, India, and Southeast Asia
- Develop, maintain and update Asia Briefing datasets
- Research and analyze complex business, economic, market and regulatory issues
- Cultivate a network of sources for information on key industries and regions
- Create and pitch content ideas for Asia Briefing regional publications, including but not exclusive to Asia Briefing, ASEAN Briefing, China Briefing, India Briefing and Vietnam Briefing
- Draft articles for Asia Briefing’s content network, including but not exclusive to website articles, magazines, guides, thought leadership reports, case studies, etc.
- Develop and manage analytical subscription products for multinational corporations seeking Asia related business information
- Participate in marketing and business development activities when necessary
Desired Skills:
- Strong interest in legal, tax and business environments across Asia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce professional research on complex issues and developments
- Ability to copy edit qualitative and quantitative written products
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in political science, economics, business administration and/or related studies
- At least one year of professional work experience, preferable within professional consulting, data analytics or editorial operations
- Experience working within multinational corporations or with foreign business professionals
