The Masterclass Series is organized by China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) on a monthly basis and provides a half day training on the major issues and developments in the area of regulatory updates, industry trends, and trade between China and UK. It was a privilege for us to be invited as one of the experts introducing different models for selling in China, challenges and opportunities for the British businesses.

We also wanted to thank the CBBC team for their excellent organization and we particularly appreciate the support provided by Avi Nagel to make this event a success.

After several decades of rapid growth, China is now firmly established as the second largest global economy after the US. As the country makes its gradual transition to a consumer-led economy, new opportunities are emerging for UK exporters across a number of different sectors. China has become a top-ten export market for UK firms, and despite the slowdown in China’s headline growth figure, UK exports to China have almost doubled over the past five years.

Where should businesses start? China can often seem like an unfamiliar and daunting place, especially to companies with limited resources to tackle such a large and complex market. Understanding the nature of market opportunities is essential.
