As part of our CSR initiative, Dezan Shira staff members recently volunteered with Stepping Stones’ I Care Project, a program that provides disadvantaged migrant children in Shanghai with free eye tests, treatment, spectacles and simple eye operations.

The U.S. Commercial Service drew more than 300 leaders and executives to its DISCOVER GLOBAL MARKETS: Greater China Business Forum, held October 7-8. Dezan Shira’s Richard Cant was among the speakers invited to the event.

Dezan Shira & Associates have created a Dezan Shira Asian Alliance with participating firms from some of Asia’s largest countries. The Alliance brings together each of Dezan Shira’s offices throughout China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Vietnam with four other firms in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand.

The Leading Edge Alliance, the international group that Dezan Shira & Associates are primary members of, recorded revenues of US$2.9 billion in 2013. The International Accounting Bulletin, the industry benchmark for accounting firms worldwide, reported that the Leading Edge are now the second largest accounting association globally.

Dezan Shira & Associates won the 2013 “Recognition of Excellence” award at the annual Leading Edge Alliance conference in San Francisco. The award is granted to firms who have a dedicated commitment to providing international tax solutions to clients while also providing a high degree of professionalism and expertise.
