Rohit Kapur Discusses Indian Business Structures with Quebec Bureau and HEC Montreal

On December 4, 2018, Rohit Kapur, India Managing Director at Dezan Shira & Associates, gave a presentation on various entity forms available for a foreign enterprise in India.

Rohit was invited by the Quebec Bureau in Mumbai to present a seminar to the students of HEC Montreal.

A foreign investment in India can come through various entity forms, with the choice of entity depending on the kind of activities that the entity plans to undertake in the country.

India’s FDI Policy

During his presentation, Rohit briefly discussed the FDI policy of India and spoke about the importance of selecting the right entry model by analyzing the various advantages and disadvantages that each entity form presents while doing business in India.

At the end of the session, the participants had the chance to raise their doubts to Rohit. Students asked questions ranging from the ecommerce sector of India, FDI policy of India, to the upcoming 2019 Indian general elections, which were answered in full by Rohit.
