Asia Business Forum: How to Find Your Dragon

San Jose, USA | May 19, 2012

The CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley and Silicon Valley San Jose Chapters, in association with Ascend and co-hosted by eBay Inc. present their third Asia Business Forum. The dragon is the fifth symbol in the 12-year Chinese astrological calendar and is associated with confidence and success, so this Year of the Dragon is an appropriate time to explore the opportunities involved in doing business in China, Hong Kong, Vietnam and India, and inbound Asian investment to the United States. The program features four outstanding Asia experts including Dezan Shira & Associates' head of audit and accounting, Daisy Huang.

Daisy's presentation will focus on the direction and development of China in comparison to other Asian countries. The major topics to be covered are as follows:

  • Changes occuring in China: costs and benefits of doing business; demographic shifts; staying compliant with new regulations.
  • ASEAN: economic and demographic snapshot, costs and benefits of doing business.
  • Costs of an office: China vs. Vietnam;
  • China vs. India.
  • Practical considerations before setting up in Asia.
