Stephen O’Regan, International Business Advisory Senior Associate at Dezan Shira & Associates, recently gave a seminar at an event organized by the German Chamber of Commerce, hosted at Sieper Dongguan. Human resource managers from multiple industries in the Guangdong area attended.
During the seminar, Stephen highlighted HR and labor concerns that plague many companies in China. He described how to draft employee contracts, hire and terminate staff. He also noted the importance of employee handbooks, recording employees’ attendance and annual leave.
The seminar became an informative roundtable, with the various attendees voicing their experiences with labor disputes in China. After the presentation, a Q&A session was followed by a friendly networking event.
