This year, Dezan Shira & AssociatesAsia operations turn 25 years old. We retain extremely strong ties to the UK, with both our Chairman and Founding Partner, Chris Devonshire-Ellis, and Partner, Adam Livermore, being UK nationals, in addition to several other British nationals employed throughout our offices in Asia.  We are members of the many UK chambers of commerce in Asia and well as several of the British institutional entities operating in Asia, including China, ASEAN, and India, where we have over 20 offices and several hundred employees.

Over the past 25 years, we have serviced over 300 UK-based businesses in China alone – an average of one every month for the past quarter century. Collectively, we have facilitated approximately £475 million of UK investment into China, making Dezan Shira & Associates a highly valuable, trusted, and consistent partner for British businesses in Asia.

With our Chairman being a member of the London-based Royal Overseas League, local chamber memberships in Asia allow us to continue to support British initiatives on a regional basis. We also work closely with several British legal and tax firms, with regular visits between the UK, China, and Asia by both parties.

Our UK-based clients

Typical British Dezan Shira & Associates clients are smaller listed companies, subsidiaries of listed companies, and small to medium sized privately owned companies. These companies range from world-renowned conglomerates manufacturing and selling their products around the globe, to smaller privately owned businesses, often with unique and innovative products and services.

The vast majority have found considerable success in China, adding value to their shareholders, generating additional employment opportunities in both China and the UK, and providing increased taxable profits for the UK government once Asia-generated profits have been consolidated into UK head office balance sheets.
