As the Payroll and Tax Assistant Manager of our Ho Chi Minh City office, Huong controls and processes payroll for clients and employees, both local and foreign, and manages their corporate and personal tax obligations. This duty includes preparing monthly reconciliation reports for total remunerations and the detailed reporting of variances, and handling issues relating to social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance.

Huong also guides foreign invested businesses in navigating Vietnam’s tax environment, acting as advisor for tax questions and custodian for monthly, quarterly, and annual filings. She acts as a key point of contact for decision makers of international companies operating in Vietnam, and helps drive forward the firm’s expansion of payroll and tax services across Southeast Asia.

Huong has over 10 years of experience in tax, accounting, and payroll matters. Prior to joining Dezan Shira & Associates, she worked as a Chief Accountant and Senior Accountant at various foreign invested businesses and consulting firms in Vietnam.

Huong hails from Haiphong in Northern Vietnam. She is a graduate in Economics from Hanoi National University and is a Certified Chief Accountant in Vietnam. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws and possesses a strong understanding of customs, tax, and labor law.
