Christopher Heng is the Senior Partner of Christopher Heng & Co. which represents Dezan Shira & Associates in Malaysia as part of the Dezan Shira Asian Alliance.
The Malaysia practice was formed in 1994 and provides national coverage across Malaysia on behalf of foreign investors in the country from its offices in Kuala Lumpur. The firm is a full service practice, offering corporate establishment, tax planning, tax treaty advisory, bookkeeping, accounting, tax filing and full audit services. The firm can also advice on legal matters in Malaysia, especially related to investment laws and applicable regulations.
Christopher Heng is a Malaysian registered accountant, and was qualified as a Chartered Accountant (Malaysia) of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants in 1987. He also completed the professional examination of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Untied Kingdom) in 1984.
Prior to this, he graduated with his first degree (Bachelor of Financial Management) from Eckerd College and obtained an MBA from the University of Wales. Christopher later completed a Doctorate of Science in Finance awarded by Kursk State Technical University, Russia, with coursework modules completed from the University of Newcastle, Australia.
