On September 6th China’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued the “Interim Measures for Participation in Social Insurance System by Foreigners Employed in China”. Foreigners employed in China will now be required to participate in five kinds of insurance: basic pension, basic medical insurance, work-related injury insurance, unemployment insurance, and maternity insurance. Social insurance will be contributed by both employers and foreign employees in accordance with the regulations.


The presentation is limited to the members of the Confederation of Indian Industry.
