Available Internships

Dezan Shira & Associates runs a popular internship program involving both post-graduates and gap university students from all over the world. The period of internship usually ranges from two to six months and will provide you with valuable experience for your future career. Our firm has been in Asia almost 20 years and has a very good reputation amongst the foreign and local community.

Positions are available in the following departments: Legal, Accounting, Business Development, Marketing, Publications / Media
In order to succeed at our firm, you will need to possess:

• Background in finance, accounting, law or international business, a plus.
• Fluency in at least one of the following languages: English, Italian, German, Spanish, French, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and other European languages is a distinct advantage.
• China experience or interest in China‘s legal, tax and business environment.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
• Bachelor degree, a plus.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently under deadline.
• Knowledge of written and spoken local language, a plus.

Editorial Intern for Italian publications, Shenzhen
Asia Briefing Ltd. of Dezan Shira & Associates

Responsibilities:

•     Draft, review, coordinate and/or translate all Asia Briefing publications and other material in Italian;
•     Maintain current and increase new collaboration with Italian media and partner publications;
•     Translate the China Briefing monthly magazine (from English to Italian) and coordinate the related hard copy and electronic distribution;
•     Coordinate all Marketing and Distribution policies through the Italian community in China and abroad;
•     Translate, review and proof read all material related to DSA and Asia Briefing as required;
•     Prepare and coordinate the China Briefing News in Italian;
•     Increase Asia Briefing and DSA visibility among Italian SMEs in China and abroad

Qualifications:

•     Bachelor degree in Marketing, Scienze delle Comunicazioni, Scienze Politiche, Scienze Internazionali or similar from recognized Italian University.
•     Proficiency of written and spoken English
•     Native Italian speaker
•     Previous experience in publication a plus
•     Understanding of HTML, CMS, InCopy and Photoshop a plus
•     Knowledge of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) a plus

Marketing Intern, Hong Kong
Asia Briefing Ltd. of Dezan Shira & Associates

Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining and updating magazine distribution lists;
• Assist in identifying new distribution channels and cooperation partners;
• Assist in updating and monitoring Asia Briefing’s HK internal data base;
• Maintain current and increase new collaboration with HK media and partner publications;
• Assist with Asia Briefing books sales activities;
• Attend networking events around Hong Kong on behalf of Asia Briefing/Dezan Shira & Associates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Marketing, International Marketing, or Business Administration;
• Proficiency of written and spoken English;
• Previous experience in publishing a plus;
• Understanding of HTML, CMS, InCopy  and Photoshop a plus;
• Knowledge of written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) a plus.
