Job Title: Associate, Business Intelligence
Editorial & Research Responsibilities:
- Researching and writing website briefs, magazine articles, and business intelligence, with a primary focus on India
- Copy editing books, magazines, website articles and other materials for various Asia Briefing platforms (ASEAN Briefing, China Briefing, India Briefing and Vietnam Briefing)
- Keeping abreast of the latest regulatory issues affecting foreign investment into emerging Asia, and its current economic and political landscapes
- Creating and pitching content ideas for Asia Briefing platforms
- Overseeing the work of editorial assistants and mentoring their development
Client Project Management Responsibilities:
- Researching and writing Asia Briefing client reports
- Liaising with colleagues to coordinate research for client projects and deliverables
Business Development Responsibilities:
- Meeting independently or as a team with existing or potential clients to introduce the firm’s services, to discuss client needs, and to advise on strategic business legal, tax, and accounting issues affecting their business plans
- Preparing service proposals and legal documents and follow up with potential clients to conclude agreements for the provision of services
- Assisting in coordinating the completion of deliverables and managing strategic relationships
- Developing and managing analytical subscription products for multinational corporations seeking Asia related business information
Desired Skills:
- Strong interest in legal, tax and business environments across Asia
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce professional research on complex issues and developments
- Ability to copy edit qualitative and quantitative written products
- Ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in political science, economics, business administration and/or related studies
- At least one to three years of professional work experience, preferable within professional consulting, data analytics or editorial operations
- Experience working within multinational corporations or with foreign business professionals
